Thesis and Studio Projects
In their final semester of study students create thesis projects as a capstone of their NYSID education. Students research and design for a client of their choice, based on deep research, and focused on the adaptive reuse of an existing building. MPS students design a project that summarizes their entire program to date, although they complete their studies in the summer. Thesis projects are presented in an exhibition each Spring, kicking off NYSID’s week-long Commencement festival. Below are the thesis and studio projects of this year’s graduates, which will also be display on-campus in a future exhibition.
