The Senior Director of the Queens Child Advocacy Center (CAC) reached out to the College with a unique challenge: though designed to be child-friendly, the bright, toy-filled space might be too stimulated for her clients. Under the leadership of Terry Kleinberg (MFA-1), students came up with a strategy to ensure that child victims would feel safe, secure, and calm.

Study Abroad: Ireland

From May 12-26, a group of NYSID students went on a study abroad trip to Ireland for the “Aoibhneas na hÉireann” (Treasures of Ireland): Irish Art, Design, and Culture in Dublin, Kilkenny, and Cork course taught by Dr. Jennifer Goff; NYSID instructor, Fubright Scholar, and curator of the Eileen Gray collection at the National Museum of Ireland.
