Technology Support (short-term assignment)

Position Overview:

The New York School of Interior Design, an accredited, independent institution of higher education devoted entirely to the discipline of interior design and its related professions, has an opening for Technology Support. This is a short-term assignment for the Summer 2025.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Unpack and prepare for installation of new computers at the Graduate Center and main campus

  • Assemble and install computer hardware, including connecting peripherals (monitors, keyboards, mice, etc.)

  • Configure computer settings, network connections and install necessary operating systems and software applications as directed

  • Prepare old computers for shipping

  • Assist Technology team with technical and non-technical support

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software and network principles. Previous experience in computer installation, repair or technical support is a plus. Capable of lifting and carrying computer equipment, which may include heavy components. Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and manage priorities. Must possess good communications skills.

Salary: $19.00 per hour

This is a short-term assignment – June 1, 2025 – August 31, 2025.

Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.
