Nantucket is an island 30 miles off the eastern coast of New England, but it is at once insulated and worldly. From the earliest Native American inhabitants, the style of living day to day has been influenced by nature, the sea, and the life of the people. This lecture will introduce the key threads that have appeared throughout the centuries of Nantucket’s inhabitance, and which are woven throughout Nantucket homes, hotels, and villages.

This special seminar will be held via Zoom and will be followed by a live Q&A. Hosted by Dr. Ellen Fisher, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the New York School of Interior Design.
