Real-World Design Challenge

Tourneau, the largest luxury watch retailer in the US, partnered with NYSID to host a real-world design challenge. More than 20 NYSID students created design concepts for the new Tourneau store at 3 Bryant Park (which opened this March), and three winners were selected: first place, Elisa Vincenti; 2nd place, Vivi Rosenberg; and 3rd place, Dana Margaret Koebbe. The students will all receive Tourneau watches, and Elisa will be doing a summer internship at Tourneau.

The project was integrated into the curriculum of the Contract Design II course in NYSID’s BFA in Interior Design program. The spring 2015 class, taught by NYSID faculty members and architects Joseph Goldstein and Barbara Weinreich, focuses on design projects such as showrooms, corporate offices or retail environments, and integrating branding into interior design.

Congrats to the winners!
