NYSID at Design Fairs

Get ready for NY Design Week, when a plethora of design fairs and events come to town. NYSID is excited to be taking part in a number of them. For the first time, our students’ furniture designs will be on view at ICFF – the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, which takes place May 16 – 19 at the Javits Center.

Even before that, we will be participating in BKLYN Designs, May 8 – 10 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. On Saturday, May 9, 11am, NYSID faculty member Judith Gura will give a talk, Brooklyn Landmark Interiors: Design & Preservation. And, MFA-1 student Virginia Ammidon’s textile design will be featured as part of a new fabric collection debuted at bole road textiles booth.

On Wednesday, May 13, Ellen Fisher, VP for Academic Affairs & Dean, will be a panelist on Design Pathways in Public Policy, as part of Town+Gown Symposium event, organized in collaboration with Parsons DESIS Lab, Public Policy Lab, AIGA/NY and NYCxDesign.NYSID is also participating as an educational partner with the Collective Design Fair, May 13-17 at Skylight Clarkson Square in Soho.
