Scholarships Cocktail Reception at the Park Avenue Armory

On October 9, NYSID celebrated noted interior designers and their commitment to the education of aspiring and emerging designers with a private reception to mark the opening of the AVENUE Show: Antiques, Art & Design at the Armory.

Guests at the reception included designers for whom scholarships are named:  Geoffrey Bradfield and Ellie Cullman; emerging designers who received these awards and other alumni: Mariette Himes Gomez, Federica Monaco and Stefan Steil; NYSID trustees Jill Dienst, Dennis Miller, Betsey Ruprecht, Patricia Sovern, and David Scott; members of the design community committed to the education, training and mentorship of the next generation: Silvia Owen, Peter Pennoyer, Mary Jane Pool and Katie Ridder; and other NYSID Friends, such as Chiu Ti Jansen.

The following day, NYSID programed a full day of lectures with five leading interior designers, Geoffrey Bradfield, Mario Buatta, Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz, Sandra Nunnerly and Vicente Wolf.  Click here to see images of the event.
