Edwin Zawadzki

Edwin is a founding partner of In Situ Design, a New York-based firm that designs a range of projects from homes to hotels, restaurants to offices. One of his most recent projects, The William Hotel (a collaboration with fellow NYSID instructor William Engel), won four accolades for its colorful approach and the way it blures the lines between art, architecture, and interior design. Edwin brings his design approach into the classroom. "It is really the rigor of the design process that I try to instill in my students. At In Situ we draw and draw and draw. There is no leap straight into a design solution. Even the best ideas require extensive exploration to resolve."
