The New York School of Interior Design Signs Transfer Agreement with Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey

New York, New York – November 11, 2020 – The New York School of Interior Design and Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) have signed a new agreement that will allow RVCC students to seamlessly transfer to NYSID to complete their bachelor’s degree.

According to the agreement, students who receive an Associate of Science Degree in Interior Architecture and Design from RVCC may transfer into NYSID’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design program, as long as they fulfill certain degree requirements including submitting a portfolio for review. According to the new agreement, students may transfer up to 66 credits earned at RVCC to NYSID’s program.

“The New York School of Interior Design has been the top choice for many of our graduates moving on to their bachelor’s degree, and NYSID has been very supportive and diligent about credit transfers—really working with the students in the application process,” said Virginia Smith, RVCC Associate Professor and Coordinator of the College’s Interior Architecture and Design program.

“NYSID is consistently rated as one of the best interior design schools, and the job placement rate for graduates is extremely high. I am looking forward to a continued successful relationship with NYSID and the opportunities this agreement gives our students,” Smith continued.
