New York, NY – September 20, 2018 – New York School of Interior Design continues to garner national recognition as one of America’s top-ranked architecture and design schools.

In DesignIntelligence’s most recent survey, New York School of Interior Design was ranked no. 1 for all twelve “Key Focus Areas” among the College’s graduate programs, and no.1 for ten out of twelve “Key Focus Areas” in its undergraduate programs. The Key Focus Areas includes Communication and Presentation Skills; Construction Materials and Methods; Design Technologies; Design Theory and Practice; Engineering Fundamentals; Healthy Built Environments; Interdisciplinary Studies; Transdisciplinary Collaboration Across A/E/C, Project Planning and Management; Practice Management; Research; and Sustainable Built Environments. In addition, DesignIntelligence ranked New York School of Interior Design among the nation’s top 10 interior design programs for six consecutive years.

This acknowledgement comes on the heels of DesignIntelligence’s naming of Dr. Ellen Fisher, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean, as one of the “Top 25 Most Admired Educators in Architecture, Interiors, and Landscape Architecture” in the United States.

“At the New York School of Interior Design, we are resolute in upholding our mission to prepare aspiring interior designers and working professionals to be leaders in the field by providing a focused and immersive interior design education,” said NYSID President, David Sprouls. “DesignIntelligence’s designations are confirmation that we are delivering on that mission in a way that is tangible for our students and recognized by industry leaders and hiring professionals.”
