Angelo Donghia: Design Superstar will document the career of one of the design industry's most versatile and talented practitioners. In the 1970s and 1980s, Angelo Donghia was almost as celebrated as his high-profile clients like Liza Minelli, Ralph Lauren, and Mary Tyler Moore. In addition to his widely-published modern interiors with trademark features like gray-flannel upholstery and silver-leaf ceilings, he designed furniture, fabrics and wall coverings, domestics and tableware. This exhibition will display original drawings, photographs, magazine features, and products from his student years until his premature death in 1985. The exhibition has already garnered coverage from T Magazine, Architectural Digest and New York Magazine.
This exhibition is sponsored by Donghia, Angelo Donghia Foundation, and Architectural Digest.
