Edmund D. Hollander, FASLA
Edmund Hollander is president of Hollander Design Landscape Architects, one of few landscape architecture firms ever included in Architectural Digest’s AD100 List of Top Architects & Designers.
Edmund is an elected Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), one of the society’s highest honors. He serves on the Dean’s Council and the Advisory Board of the Ian L. McHarg Center for Urbanism and Ecology at the University of Pennsylvania. For many years, he has been on the board of Trustees for the New York Restoration Project, the nonprofit founded by Bette Midler with a mission to create beautiful, high-quality public space for all New Yorkers. Edmund has lectured at the City College of the City University of New York, where he is on the Advisory Board for the Landscape Program; the Graduate School of Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania; the New York Botanical Garden; and other design-focused institutions. He is Past President of the New York Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).
Edmund graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in History, followed by study at the New York Botanical Garden School of Horticulture. He received a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. Soon after, Edmund joined The Delta Group in Philadelphia and then the venerable New York firm of Clarke and Rapuano before founding Edmund Hollander Landscape Architects with his partner, Maryanne Connelly, in 1991.
Andrew Oyen
Andrew’s passion for aesthetics and how people live comes from a family background in the decorative arts. Andrew began his career as an architect within an interior design firm, learning how to create a balance between the two disciplines, a practice he draws from for each of his projects. Since joining Ferguson & Shamamian Architects in 1996, Andrew’s early experience has informed everything from his first meeting with a client and helping them to envision how they will live in their residence, through the development of plans, finishes, and details. Andrewreceived his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia, with a focus in Architectural History and Urbanism, and attended The Bartlett School at University College London, where he studied Architecture, Preservation and Conservation. His work includes projects in some of New York’s most iconic buildings and residences in Long Island, Connecticut, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and Malibu, among others. He lives with his partner in the Jackson Heights Historic District of New York City and spends weekends at their cottage, an accessory building on a former estate near the Delaware River.

This season's theme is "Challenges" and Dennis will talk with designers about "less than ideal" design spaces they have been faced with, using visuals to explain how they tackled those spaces. Dennis Scully is the host of the weekly BOH podcast, where he explores the changes and challenges facing the interior design community through interviews with industry thought leaders, entrepreneurs and creatives.
