#GivingTuesday is a global online movement — made up of donors like you — to create an outpouring of charitable donations on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.  

This year, on #GivingTuesday, NYSID is raising money for two exceptional interior design students to travel abroad. This life-changing opportunity will expose these aspiring designers to cultural traditions from around the world and will be an inspiration for their work. The funds raised on #GivingTuesday will allow us to award this travel prize, named in memory of beloved NYSID instructor Robert Herring, to one BFA student and one MFA student at Commencement. This special prize was especially meaningful to Robert who was “keen on the importance of travel in the development of young designers.”

NYSID’s #GivingTuesday goal is to raise $15,000 – or $7,500 for each student. Please help us reach this goal by being as generous as you can on #GivingTuesday, which this year falls on November 28.  Your donation, no matter the size, will help us to give the gift of travel to two extraordinary students.
